Auto is not a single-usage keyword. Some folks mean auto as in automation, others mean auto as in automobile, some mean auto as in automatic, sometimes referring to the transmission of an automobile the "gear shifting" of which is automated, and others just mean automobile regardless of whether the automobile happens to have an automatic or manual transmission.
